About Train & Tread Dog Co
At Train & Tread Dog Co., my mission is to help dogs in the Greater Denver area live healthier, happier lives by making training and exercise convenient for their people. I believe that when a dog's physical and mental needs are met, better behavior, focus, and confidence naturally follow.
Busy schedules, Colorado weather, and behavior challenges can make it difficult to give dogs the exercise they need. That's why I bring my climate-controlled mobile dog gym directly to your doorstep, providing safe, structured workouts in a calm, controlled environment.
Along with the mobile gym, I offer positive, science-based dog training that uses reward-based methods to build practical skills, strengthen the bond between dogs and their people, and create lasting results.
My goal is simple: to help dogs feel better, behave better, and enjoy life with the people who love them.
Train & Tread is a proud woman-owned small business based in Littleton, Colorado.
Every great adventure begins with a healthy, confident dog.
Why I Train Dogs
To me, training isn't about having the dog with the perfect heel or the fastest sit. It's about giving dogs and their people the skills and confidence to experience more of life together.
I've spent my weekends exploring Colorado's mountains, forests, deserts, and trails with my husband and our dogs.
Over the years, our adventures have taken us through deep snow, alpine summits, wildflower meadows, dense forests, and countless miles of backcountry. Every dog we've shared our lives with has become part of those memories.
Those experiences shaped how I train today.
Whether that's helping a nervous dog build confidence, giving a high-energy dog a healthy outlet, teaching reliable manners, or preparing dogs to safely navigate rattlesnake country, my goal is always the same:
To help you enjoy more adventures with your dog.
Because the best moments rarely happen in a training building, they happen on a trail, at a park, around a campsite, or simply enjoying everyday life together.
Every dog can become part of the adventure
About Courtney
Hi, I'm Courtney, the trainer behind Train & Tread Dog Co.
I've always been fascinated by the relationship between dogs and their people. While my path to dog training has been a little different than most, that passion has remained constant throughout my life.
I hold a bachelor's degree in Digital Media Production, a master's degree in Psychology, and spent more than 15 years in sales and relationship-focused roles before pursuing dog training professionally.
I'm a CCDT-certified dog trainer through CATCH Canine Trainers Academy, where I studied modern, science-based, positive-only training methods. My approach focuses on building trust, clear communication, and practical skills that help dogs succeed in everyday life.
Some of the dogs closest to my heart have been the more challenging ones. I've personally adopted dogs with anxiety, reactivity, and behavioral struggles, giving me firsthand experience with the frustration, uncertainty, and emotional ups and downs that can come with behavior challenges. Those experiences shaped both my compassion and my training philosophy.
That experience also inspired Train & Tread. Time and again, I've seen that when a dog's physical and mental needs are met, behavior, focus, and confidence often improve dramatically. That's why I offer both positive, science-based training and a climate-controlled mobile dog gym, to give dogs the exercise, enrichment, and guidance they need to thrive.
Every dog is different, so I tailor each session to the individual dog, their home, and your goals.
